Ok I cropped the picture to only show Kaleigh. There may be parts of other faces in the pictures but here we go. Enjoy!!!

Exciting

Last night as I was spending my endless hours on the internet looking at anything adoption related, I found an email/ post to on of the groups I am involved with and they had pictures taken at Kaleigh's orphanage and if had five babies in the picture. The person who had the post had sent a birthday cake to their daughter and they were having a small birthday party. I am almost positive one of the babies is my precious Kaleigh. I have email the lady and she sent me an email with copies of the pictures and seeing them larger and clearer made me even more sure. I want to post the pictures so that everyone can see her but then I would feel like an idiot if in less than a month I see her and realize I was wrong (but I don't think I am). There is one baby on there that looks familiar and I think I have figured out who she is but all of the rest I recognize. I am just so excited and I don't know if I can even explain what I am feeling right now. She is precious and beautiful and looks so serious in her pictures. I can't wait to bring her home and make her smile and giggle.

We received our Flight Schedule today

Yes today we received our confirmation numbers for our flights to and from China as well as the confirmation number for Kaleigh's ticket on the way home. The more these things happen the more real this becomes. In just under a month I will be boarding a plane to go to China and just a few days later my daughter will be placed in my arms. I just can't wait.

TA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes we have finally received our TA (travel approval). In fact we are going over different travel options tonight trying to decide which route we will be traveling to China on. I am going to miss Kaleigh's birthday by either one or two days and after an hour or so of pouting I really am going to be ok with it. Brent is so excited, he is bouncing off the walls. Right now it looks like we are leaving Nashville on Feb 18th and arriving in Beijing on 19th. You have to factor in the time difference. Anyway we should be arriving back the evening/night of March 4th with our little bundle of joy. We will probably not receive Kaleigh until either the 23rd or 24th of Feb but we don't know any of that for sure at this moment. I can't wait to leave for China!!!!!!

Progress!!????

Today we received our passports back and they are stamped or stickered with our visa approval to travel to China. This is my first experience with a visa so I was not sure what to expect but each of our passports now contains a sticker that states we are approved to travel to China. Now I just need for China to let me know when I can come!!!! You can see our passports being held by Pandy the Panda bear, a gift from Mike and Susan. Pandy will be traveling with us to China to be a friend to our daughter and as you can see Pandy is sitting on the luggage where we have started gathering our stuff to be packed. I think he is as ready to go as we are!!

Comfy place to sleep

Jon and Teresa we love the bean bag and use it a lot but Abbigail has decided it might be her new favorite place to rest as well. She loves sleeping here and no we did not encourage her to do this she just did.

Happy New Year and a little update

I sent Kaleigh a care package this week so hopefully when we get her I will get a disposable camera and some new pictures of Kaleigh. The lady that is handling the care package was able to get updated measurements on Kaleigh so that she could make sure that she purchased pjs that she can wear. She is now just over 27 inches and 16 pounds and 8 ounces. Still tiny put growing!!! I can't wait to get her home and fatten her up just some.

If you want to see my wonderful neighbors who have also become my dear friends check out the Applesauce wishes and Cheerio Dreams blog site under links on the left side of my blog. That was a picture taken of us on New Years.

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year. I know for us it is a wonderful one because we are so much closer to bringing home our daughter. Right now we are just waiting on our TA (travel approval) so that our appointments can be scheduled and then our actually travel arrangements made. It should be at least a couple more weeks before we get TA so hopefully we can get it before China shuts down for their New Year at the end of Jan. This will definitely put us traveling after that so hopefully as early in February as possible.
